The CHeriDDOC project is preparing for its 1st International Workshop, which will take place from 22 to 28 July 2026 at the archaeological site of Ancient Messene, Greece.

The workshop will bring together students and academic staff from the three partner universities: National Technical University of Athens, University of Bamberg, and University of Catania. During the activities, participants will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital cultural heritage documentation, working with innovative tools and methodologies in an international and collaborative environment.

The selection of students has now been completed, and the project partners are currently working on the organisation of the workshop, including the planning of field activities, technical sessions, and collaborative moments among students and experts.

Ancient Messene will provide an exceptional setting for this first CHeriDDOC training experience, offering students the chance to engage directly with cultural heritage documentation in one of Greece’s most significant archaeological sites.
